Mgr. Milan Ištván is President of the non-governmental organization Partnership for Prosperity (PPP), which is dedicated to supporting the informatization of society in Slovakia.
He began to work on this topic between 1998-2002, when he was a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and co-signed the Law on Electronic Signature, promoted the liberalization of the telecommunication market or supported the Infovek project.
In the EU 2007-2013 programming period, he was a member of the Monitoring Committee for the Knowledge Economy (MC VE) and the Steering Committee for Priority Axis 1 of the Operational Program Informatization of Society (OPIS) "eGovernment".
In 2009-2015 he was the editor of the electronic newsletter OPISNEWS. Currently, he is a member of the Government Council for Digitization of Public Administration and the Digital Single Market, the Monitoring Committee for Operational Program Integrated Infrastructure (OPII), the Managing Committee for Priority Axis 7 "Information Society" of OPII and the Partnership for Cohesion Policy 2020+.
